A whisper of something unknown, pulses in my eardrum.
I push past the lifeless bodies, of the crowd.
Hair up, with art supplies in hand..
I run through the freezing waters, to find my inspiration..
Laying on the floor, fast asleep.
Shaken and weeping, I try and grab it.
But it falls far past my reach..
Such a pitiful thing,to see.
I stare at it, and after much time..Lay down with it.
We lay there, together.
I stare up at the sky, as the rain turns to paint.
Coloring the pools of water around us...
I turn, and begin stroking my inspiration, trying to awake it.
It turns and looks at me...
Smiling...
" oh you silly thing..."
